The Physical Plant is responsible for maintaining and improving Shasta College’s infrastructure to ensure a
safe and welcoming environment. It oversee the daily operations, upkeep, and repair of Shasta College facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of students, faculty and staff. The Physical Plant is dedicated to maintaining the high standards of the campus and supporting Shasta College’s commitment to educational excellence.
Provides services for scheduling and coordination of campus spaces for events and activities. Classrooms, meeting rooms, athletic facilities, and other spaces are prepared for use, supporting district and community events.
Provides services for the ongoing physical needs of the campus buildings and facilities. Includes: electricians, plumbers, carpenters, utility support, pool/laundry services and heating/air conditions technicians.
Provides services for maintaining the cleanliness and order of campus facilities. Classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for public use.
Provides services for the upkeep and care of campus grounds. Lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor spaces are maintained to ensure a clean, attractive, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Provides services for the printing materials needed by the campus community. This includes brochures, flyers and posters, ensuring high-quality results that support both academic and administrative needs.
Provides services for the safe and efficient transportation of students, staff, and equipment. This includes maintenance and management of our campus vehicle fleet, and coordination of transportation for college activities.
Provides services for the storage and distribution of supplies and equipment on campus. Manages inventory, receives shipments, and ensures that items are delivered promptly and efficiently to support the needs of the district.
