Early Childhood Education Lab School
Important Update Regarding ECE Center
With the recent and rapidly evolving developments surrounding the local COVID-19 spread, the District has made the decision to close our Early Childhood Education (ECE) center effective Monday, March 30, until such time that we can reopen and be confident in providing a safe facility for all of those involved.
The Shasta Head Start program is temporarily closing all centers. Normal services will begin on Monday, April 13. Please refer to facebook.com/shastaheadstart for additional updates.
The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Center provides a developmentally appropriate, research based program for the optimal learning environment for college students and children ages 3 to 5 years old. The ECE Center operates as a child development laboratory offering age appropriate experiences for children as well as observation opportunities and hands-on training for college students.
The Shasta College ECE Center Lab School has continuously earned national accreditation from The National Association for the Education of Young Children since 2004.
