I trust you are all doing well as we wrap up the fall semester. It is hard to believe that we are at the end of the term.

It has been a while since my last update. I trust that your semester is going well.

I trust you are settling back into a regular semester. It sure was fun to be out and about on campus during the first day of classes and help students find their way to various rooms and buildings. Thanks to all who helped.

I trust your summer is going well. I look forward to seeing more students on our campuses as the fall term begins. I wanted to share with the community a portion of my board report that is being published today.

We are at the end of another year – Shasta’s 73rd. I am looking forward to the commencement ceremony this Friday at 7pm. The speaker is Dr. Lizette Navarette, Interim Deputy Chancellor for our system. Thanks to all involved in planning and preparing for this wonderful day of celebration.

Spring break is the week after next – already! This term seems to be flying by. I hope everyone gets a bit of relaxing and renewal time in so we can be refreshed in serving our students through the end of the semester.

If you are like me, this term has felt busier and more “normal” than any other in the last few years. We are not done, however, evaluating the effects of the pandemic on the way in which we operate into the future, but I believe we are up to the challenge of figuring it out.
