ESL & World Languages Center

English as a Second Language instruction helps students whose native language is not English succeed in college and at work. To meet the needs of ESL students, Shasta College offers courses in different levels and skill areas. The program provides both language instruction and cultural orientation. Classes are small and comfortable.

Learning a language is never easy! But you don't have to learn all on your own.

When you need help or want to connect with other language learners go to the:

ESL and World Languages Desk (During non-COVID/regular semesters)
Every day from 12 pm-3:30 pm. Ask a trained ESL tutor to help you understand your readings, as well as plan, edit, and revise your papers. Spanish tutoring is also available. Make an appointment or just come to the desk to see if we are free.

Conversation Practice
Monday-Friday from 10:30 am-12 pm using Zoom. Must be registered in a Shasta College ESL Class. Please email esl@shastacollege.edu.
