Shasta College Giving Tree

Shasta College’s Student Senate is very pleased to announce they will sponsor the “Giving Tree” for 2025!

How it works!

The Shasta College Giving Tree is an event sponsored by the Shasta College Student Senate. Currently enrolled Shasta College students who have children ages 17 and under are encouraged to sign up their children to be assigned to a Secret Santa who will purchase a gift for your child. Gifts are given anonymously.

Sign up for Giving Tree

Please note that at this time we are only allowing the first 90 eligible students to sign up for this supplemental gift assistance. (Each family can register up to six children.) In the spirit of the holidays, if you are a part of another gift exchange program locally, please leave this program for students who may not have another resource.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Currently enrolled at time of application, and
  • Be in academic good standing (no current/former student code of conduct violations)

Important Dates

  • Giving Tree Sign-Ups: Opens November 3, 2025 at 8:00 am. The sign-up form will close when we've reached 90 eligible applicants or on November 7th.
  • Gift Pick-Up: December 8th - 12th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Gifts will be available for pick-up by appointment only December 8th through December 12th. The location and appointment schedule information will be sent out to the email you provide so be sure to provide a valid email address you check regularly. 

Any gifts not picked up by the end of the business day on December 12th will be forfeited and will not be available for pick up at a later time.

Secret Santas

If you are interested in adopting a family (we encourage adopters to adopt a family and all of the children in that family), please contact Student Life at StudentLife@ShastaCollege.edu. More information will be shared soon, so keep an eye out on your email!

Shasta College administration, faculty, staff, and student groups are encouraged to sign up to purchase gifts for a child/family.

Dropping off gifts

Please deliver gifts to the Student Senate office in Room 2318 from November 17th to December 1st. The office is open for drop-off Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

We hope you will consider participating in this heartwarming event!

Short on Time?

We now offer a quick and convenient way to spread holiday cheer! Our Holiday Giving Tree welcomes both gift and monetary donations. You can stop by our office in Room 2318 to make your monetary contribution on the following dates:

  • November 12th–26th
  • December 1st–5th

Our donation hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and we accept credit and debit card payments only. Your support helps bring joy to those in need this holiday season!
