State Authorizations / Out-of-State Students
State regulations regarding enrollment in online classes may limit the availability of those classes to students residing outside of California. As of June 2019, students who reside in the states noted below can generally enroll in online courses. For most states outside California, students are not permitted to take courses that require internships, externships, or require any type of in-person services. Students wishing to take more than a single course or a course that requires any activity that is not virtual should contact the Dean of Library Services and Educational Technology (wbreitbach@ShastaCollege.edu) to ensure individual state laws where residence is established do not prohibit your educational plan.
