Shasta College offers many types of financial aid to help cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and more. Explore the options below and take the first step by submitting your FAFSA or CADAA Application.

Grants (Need-based aid, no repayment required)

Grants are awarded based on the financial need shown in your FAFSA or CADAA application. They can help reduce your education costs and do not need to be repaid.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available to eligible students and are awards based on academic merits, community service, or other criteria. They do not have to be repaid and eligibility is determined by the individual scholarship.

Federal Work Study (Earn as you Learn)

Work part-time on campus or with community partners while enrolled. This program helps eligible students earn money to support their education.

Federal Direct Loans

Borrowed money to cover educational costs that must be repaid with interest. Borrowers are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling and sign the Master Promissory Note.

Book Assistance

Shasta College offers grants and loans specifically for book assistance. Funds may be used to purchase textbooks and/or supplies at the Shasta College Bookstore.
