Shasta College offers a limited number of Book Grants at the beginning of each semester, and Book Loans throughout the semester. The award can help cover the costs of textbooks and supplies. While Book Grants do not need to be repaid, the Book Loans must be repaid.

The Book Grant application is closed for the Fall 2024 semester, but Book Loans are still available.

Application Period

Applications must be for the current term and are accepted on:

For Term / Semester Application Opens  Date Closes
Fall  August 12th at 8:00 am  November 3rd at 11:45 pm
Spring January 6th at 8:00 am February 27th at 11:45 pm

Grant funds are limited and awarded in order requests are received. If funding for books is needed, students are encouraged to select "applying for both" (meaning either a grant or a loan). This will expedite funds if grants are no longer available.
