Interest Rate for Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans
Interest rates for student loans vary depending on the loan type and the first disbursement date of the loan. The table below provides Interest Rates for Federal Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized offered to undergraduate students at Shasta College.

Loan Fees for Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans
Federal Direct Loans also include fees that are a percentage of the total loan amount. The loan fee is deducted from each loan disbursement so the amount you receive will be less than the award amount shown on your offer letter. You’re responsible for repaying the entire amount you borrowed and not just the amount you received.
