Federal Work Study (FWS) is a need-based grant that offers temporary part-time job opportunities for students both on and off campus. Students earn money and gain valuable work experience while pursuing their academic goals.

Federal Work Study Eligibility Requirements

Meet general eligibility requirements to receive Title IV Aid.
- Have financial need based on your FAFSA.
- Maintain enrollment in a minimum of 6 units.
- Have an eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Status.
Steps to Participate in Federal College Work-Study
- Submit a FAFSA application for the academic year you would like to work.
- Complete all financial aid verification items shown in your financial aid checklist.
- If you qualify, Federal Work Study will appear as “Awarded” in “My Awards”.
- Students who have met the above criteria will receive an e-mail invitation to attend online orientation. Orientation completion is required to participate in the Federal Work Study program.
Once we are at max capacity of students, recruitment will halt. If any spots become available later in the year, an e-mail notification will be sent to all eligible students with steps to apply.
