The Shasta College Concert and Chamber Choirs will be performing various choral pieces, including works by celebrated Los Angeles composer Shawn Kirchner.   The concert will take place in the Shasta College theatre on Saturday, May 7th at 7:30 p.m.   The choirs will sing music with a connection to American music, past and present, including spirituals, urban Gospel, and pieces by current composers from the state of California.  The Chamber Choir will perform a new set of pieces by Andrew Steffen called “The Spells of Herrick”.   Student instrumental soloists will round out the program.   The program will be conducted by Elizabeth Waterbury, D.M.A., accompanied by Ellen Southard on piano.

General admission is $7.00, students (with student ID) and senior admission is $5.00.
