Shasta College will offer Master Gardener training at the Young Family Ranch, in Weaverville, this spring semester on Wednesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on two Saturday mornings, Feb 11th and March 11th, from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.. The course will follow the popular University of California curriculum that teaches students the latest information about plant protection, growth, and care. Topics will include soils, fertilizers, weed and pest control, pruning, plant propagating, and more. Teaching the course will be University of California Master Gardener Coordinator for Trinity County, Carol Fall. Carol is retired from the University of California where she worked as a cooperative extension advisor for Trinity County for many years. She now volunteers as the Master Gardener coordinator for the Trinity County Master Gardeners. Course number AGEH 60, Section number S3715.
