The Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District (STTJCCD) is seeking a volunteer from the community to fill an At-Large Representative vacancy on the Measure H Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee. Measure H, a $139 million general obligation bond approved by District voters in 2016, is focused on the expansion and refurbishment of college facilities. The committee meets quarterly, and is charged with informing the public concerning the District's expenditure of bond proceeds; reviewing expenditure reports and annual audits to ensure that bond proceeds are used only for the purposes set forth in Measure H; and preparing annual written reports summarizing the Committee's proceedings and activities each year.

To qualify, you must be at least 18 years of age and be a member of the community at-large. Employees, vendors, contractors and consultants of the Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District are prohibited by law from being members of the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.

The member will serve a two-year term renewable for a total of three two-year terms. The appointment process calls for solicitation of applications after which the District Superintendent/President will review the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The Board will make the final decision on who will fill the vacancy. Although the Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee members are not compensated for their service, the District and the local community appreciate the generous donation of their time and the spirit shown by those who choose to serve in this capacity.

The deadline to submit your application is 4:30 PM on Friday, September 27, 2019. The application is available on the Shasta College website at www.ShastaCollege.edu by clicking on About SC / Bond Information / 2016 Bond Measure H / Measure H Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.
