DACA Breaking News: On September 13, 2023, Judge Hanen, from the Southern District of Texas, issued a ruling in the DACA lawsuit that keeps the program unchanged: those currently with DACA status can continue to renew their DACA, but no initial or new DACA applications can be granted. Judge Hanen determined that despite the new regulations issued by the Biden Administration last year, he believes the DACA program remains unlawful. However, for now, DACA remains in place as it has for the past two years, and we encourage DACA holders, after individual consultations with a trusted immigration attorney, to continue renewing their DACA and pursuing all of the benefits DACA provides, including advance parole.
