Longitudinal Applicant Pool and Hiring Phase Analysis Presentation. This presentation was delivered during the “EEO – Building Diversity (Part 1) – Using Data for Hiring” workshops from the Chancellor’s Office and IEPI in September 2018. The presentation provided an overview of Title 5 requirements for collecting and analyzing applicant and hiring process data in longitudinal analyses. The worksheets provided in the “Data Analysis Tools” section below were demonstrated during the presentation.​

ACHRO 2019 Equity Data Analysis Presentation. This presentation was delivered at the 2019 ACHRO Annual Conference in October 2019. The presentation builds on the Longitudinal Applicant Pool and Hiring Phase Analysis demonstration by providing a discussion of why equity in hiring and employment is essential successfully meeting our missions as California community colleges and exploring more nuanced data analysis of individual decision making in the hiring process. Specifically, the presentation provides a methodology for capturing and comparing data on the application of minimum qualifications, preferred qualifications, rating criteria used during application screening and interviews, and other criteria used by hiring committees (GPA, preferred university, Ph.D., etc.).​

Census Availability Guidance. This guide allows users to access labor market availability data publicly available from the U.S. Census. The data estimates the proportion of persons meeting minimum qualifications to perform a wide variety of employment classifications within a defined geographic region by race, ethnicity, and sex.

Availability Analysis Tool. This worksheet allows users to estimate the percentage availability of individual race/ethnicity groups within one or more geographic areas for one or more job classifications. The worksheet also provides a comparison of calculated availability to the user’s current workforce to identify potential under-utilization, evaluate past recruitment strategies, and explore the viability of proposed recruitment strategies in addressing workforce diversity objectives.

Longitudinal Analysis – Applicant Pool Composition. This worksheet allows users to analyze the composition of their applicant pools for one or more positions by race, ethnicity, and sex over a five year period. The analysis provides results for individual years as well as the cumulative five year period, highlighting differences in hiring rates by race, ethnicity, and sex during the analysis periods.

​Longitudinal Analysis – Hiring Process Phase Analysis. This worksheet allows users to analyze the progress of applicants through each phase of a hiring process by race, ethnicity, and sex. The analysis highlights differences in success rates for applicants as they advance through each phase by race, sex, and ethnicity during the analysis periods.
