To the Shasta College Community:

I trust you are doing well.  If you are like me, the last nine months sure feels much longer than that, most days.  I am grateful for the ability to work in a place of service to others, but I sure hope the vaccines stay the course of their initial success levels, become approved and widely available and help our world combat this virus.

Success Story
One thing that lifted my spirits today was viewing the newly started “gratitude wall.” Thank you to the EOC team for this idea.  Here is the message from Will Breitbach & the EOC team explaining the concept:

I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of the EOC team, I am inviting you to share messages of gratitude and hope with the Shasta College Community. Please consider participating in the following ways:

  • Post and “like” messages
  • Share the link in your communications within your area.

This will ensure they know about the kind messages and allow them to contribute.

Visit the url below and use the plus button on the bottom right of the screen to contribute.

Quick business update
I simply want to note that our team will also be sending out information later this week explaining the state’s recent guidance on travel during the upcoming holidays, so watch for that communication.  We are having more spread in our local communities, and we need to stay the course and do what we can to help prevent the spread from growing.

I trust each of you will find ways to rest and have a break over the coming 10 days.  Thank you again for your heroic efforts to keep giving our community the educational opportunities to reach their dreams.
