Tutoring & Learning Centers
The Tutoring and Learning Center is available for online and in-person services. Please see below for more information.
The Shasta College Tutoring and Learning Center is physically located in the 700 building and is the first building you see when you enter the South entrance of the Redding campus. Since most students are taking online courses at this time, our virtual presence can be easily found through our website (www.shastacollege.edu/tutoring) or Canvas (using the Student Support Portal link).
We offer FREE virtual peer tutoring for a broad spectrum of courses in math, business, science, writing, canvas, and more and encourage you to book an appointment with us. All appointments can be booked using eSARS appointment scheduler at this time. Click on the link below and all you’ll need is your student ID, birthdate, and subject you need help in to schedule the appointment.
Book an appointment! We're tutoring in-person and via Zoom.
Tutors generally available by appointment for most subjects Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can also use the links below to schedule an appointment for Canvas and Computer help!
Depending on the location selection, the scheduling system will show in-person, online, or both tutoring availability. Select one of the following to schedule an in-person or online tutoring appointment:
- Redding Campus (In-Person, Online)
- Tehama Campus — Red Bluff (In-Person, Online)
- Trinity Campus — Weaverville (TBD)
- Intermountain Campus — Burney (In-Person, Online)
- Online Tutoring (Online)
Each campus offers tutoring — in-person, online, or both — for a number of different subjects. The "Online Tutoring" option shows tutors who are only available remotely.
If you'd like to receive Zoom tutoring for a subject that is not listed in "Online Tutoring", you may select one of the other locations with online tutoring availability. These locations will show additional subjects and tutors who can meet online via Zoom.
If none of the above appointments work for you, please check out NetTutor, a free online tutoring resource for Shasta College students.
