To the Shasta College Community:

The war in Ukraine is causing concern for all of us.  It can be disheartening and causing added stress in our lives at a time when we have had many difficulties over the past few years with the various emergencies we have faced. Chancellor Oakley sent a message out today that I am forwarding below my signature line.

I am confident in our resiliency and strength, but also want to remind you of the resources we have available for employees and students if you need to talk with someone.

Please be ready to share this with Students with whom you have contact: students now have free and immediate access to mental health support through TimelyMD, a leading telehealth company specializing in higher education. TimelyMD offers an extension of our campus Student Health & Wellness Office for evening hours, weekends, and holidays.  Current Shasta College students can access TimelyMD in all 50 states – at no cost to them.

For Employees: Dunamis Wellness is here on campus and taking appointments for employees for individual and group counseling services to all employees and their immediate family members free of charge. They will be here every day from 10 am – 2 pm in Room 5001 (former Hazmat Office). If you are interested in making an appointment, please call 530-338-0087 or go to their website and use the light blue box that states “Request a Free Consultation”.

Thank you for your faithful service to our students and our communities.
