The Shasta College English Department is part of the Division of Sciences, Language Arts, and Mathematics. We offer an array of courses, including courses in basic reading and writing, composition, critical thinking, literature, linguistics, and creative writing. Classes are scheduled to offer flexibility in completing your academic goals at Shasta College.

In addition to traditional day and evening classes, these courses are offered in a number of alternative formats as well: online, hybrid, web-enhanced, interactive television, and late start (accelerated). The English Department also offers classes at Shasta College outreach centers in Anderson, Burney, Red Bluff, and Weaverville.

The English Department is also proud to offer a new literary magazine.  Ink Storm was created in 2015 and is a joint teacher/student endeavor.  Enjoy!
